Meet Joseph Gonzalez,Â
My Name is Joseph Gonzalez ,Owner of Broken Heart Cheesecakes, I was born in Bronx, New York where my love for cheesecakes was inspired. At 29 yeast of age, I found out I was suffering from depression and stress induced bipolar disorder in which resulted in me attempting to take my life numerous occasions. I felt alone in this battle ,but found out that helping other people vent about their emotions helped me by offering my ears and knowledge. That’s when I came up with the idea of taking something that I enjoy doing and mash it together with idea of crushing the stigma of there is only one reason to be depressed and have dark thoughts. So in 2023, Broken Heart Cheesecakes was born and has taken the city of Chattanooga and surrounding cities by a storm. Our goal was to be mobile so we can spread our message and mission because you never know who needs to hear it along with serving the best cheesecake and sandwiches. During this journey, we teamed up with HopeSpur for Mental health , a nonprofit who helps thousands of people fight their battles, to fight the silent battle by us donating 10 percent of our profits to the organization to help with the cause. That’s why our motto is “Fighting against depression one slice at a time”!
